Tip #14: Whatever Your Hand Finds to Do, Do it With All Your Might.

One thing that bothers me is laziness. Someone waiting for the next person to do everything for them is a drain. Another thing that gets under my skin is when a person half does a job or does it carelessly. You've probably experienced that disgruntled customer service rep that doesn't want to be on the job. Or you may have been partnered with with someone on a group project that's known for being a slacker. It's annoying right? No one wants to receive someone's half best or work with someone that does a poor job. The point I want to make in this tip is what is found in Ecclesiastes 9:10 that says "whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might..." Simply put, whatever you are asked or choose to do, give your best effort. If you're working on your homework, don't take shortcuts. If you're volunteering for a charity, do the best job you can. If you're on the athletic field, give it all you've got (but more importantly, give practice your best!). It doesn't matter what you're doing, don't just settle for average or just enough to get by. You never know what effect your "hand" can have on others that see your excellent work ethic or what doors will open as a result of it!
