Tip #5: YOLO But Your Legacy (or Failure) Could Live Forever.

One of the most popular phrases among young people now is YOLO (you only live once). It's kinda like the sayings we had back in the day such as "check yourself before you wreck yourself" or "if you don't know, you better ask somebody". Either way, the phrase YOLO has become popular because it encourages people to take risks, stretch themselves beyond boundaries, and live life to the fullest. Some people take this to the extreme and feel that YOLO gives them the right to make really bad decisions as if it has no effect on them or those around. At least that's my understanding. While you only live once, the memory and legacy of who you are and what you represent could live on forever. Think about it, Abe Lincoln only lived once but there is a reason why we still remember him. Adolf Hitler also lived once and there is a reason we remember him. There are so many other historical figures (some even closer to your family) that we remember and celebrate their contributions to society or others that we shake our heads at because of their failures. So, the phrase YOLO is great. Live life to the fullest but don't use YOLO as an excuse to live a reckless life without any cares or concerns. Make good life decisions understanding that the legacy (or failure) of who you are could live on forever.
